My Week in Pictures...
/It has been a fun and busy week since I last wrote to you...
There were some lively shopping trips to my favorite haunts, looking for the perfect items to finish rooms I am working on (this picture was snapped at Reconsidered Homein Media, a fabulous and funky shop. If you haven't been yet, go!)...
Another trip into Media was to The Village Art Shop, my favorite custom framer, to make custom mat and frame selections for a client's antique pen and ink print. Can't wait to show you the piece when it is all done, and hanging in the room it is intended for!
It is always hard to hear that a friend and wonderful client is moving away. However, helping them put some finishing touches on their house before it goes on the market is a rewarding and exciting thing--and something that I hope will gain them thousands of dollars in added profit from the sale.
Their master bedroom, pictured below, went through a transformation a few months ago when we first worked together (*Stay tuned--I will be featuring the befores and afters of this space here next week!) *and now we are working on details through out the house (inside & out) to be sure it entices and appeals to each potential buyer that visits.
And in my own house, we have been finishing up the painting of our upstairs hallway--a project long overdue...
The new colors were selected to complement an old amateur still-life I bought years ago and have always loved...
Even after all of these years, it still amazes me how much of a transformation an inexpensive can of paint (in just the right color, of course :) ) can give you.
But just because* I* have been busy doesn't mean that others in my household have felt compelled to work hard themselves...
Thomas the Cat will tell you that it is most important that he watch over the window seat in my office all day every day...*well, unless he would rather do something else.*
Finally, amidst all of this creativity and fun, the week also had its challenges. Hermione, our little Corgi, whom we had dubbed "Hermighty" after her amazing recovery from a spinal injury in the fall, had a major set-back this past Wednesday...
It always helps to have a friend stop by when you are feeling under the weather, and our neighbor's lab, Katie, has been over many times this week (as always :) to visit and perk her up. Hermione is making great progress, and I hope she will be back to walking again in no time...
How about you?? Hope things around your house have been joyful and full of new life these first few chilly days of spring!
