Seaview Screened Porch

The original stone patio at the back of this seaside cottage should have been the most-loved area of the property. But the unforgiving sun and relentless mosquitoes made the space nearly unusable.

Our goal was to create a completely comfort-equipped outdoor space that felt like it belonged to the historic cottage, as though it had always been part of the design. The new screened porch included architectural details that were carefully considered so that it blended with the home's original character.

Now, this space invites daily use. Afternoon lunches no longer require retreating indoors and evening cocktails are finally relaxed and unhurried. Breezes move through, light filters softly, and the bugs stay out!
