San Diego Mid-Century Home

SAN DIEGO, CA

This mid-century house in San Diego had great bones and breathtaking views, but it needed cohesion, warmth, and a sense of the client's taste to truly feel like home.

We worked with our client as he prepared to move across the country-a young man in his 30's (a son of one of our longtime clients)- to create a soothing, contemporary aesthetic for the entire house. The look and feel both embraced the architecture while customizing it for everyday living. Interior and exterior spaces were all treated as one cohesive experience, blurring boundaries and drawing the eye outward to the water and city beyond.

Materials, colors, and furnishings were chosen to feel welcoming-modern without being cold. The result is a home that feels both refined and deeply livable.
