New Barn, Historic Farmhouse

The original barn next to this historic farmhouse had reached the end of its structural life. Instead of attempting a patchwork fix, the homeowners chose to reimagine what the space could become-especially if they could expand its footprint and usable space.

We guided design on a new barn that would honor the spirit of the farmhouse while dramatically expanding its function. The new structure includes a commercial-grade kitchen, generous entertaining spaces, and a finished suite of rooms above for comfortable living where the client's adult son lives part of the year.

The new barn respects the past while creating space for connection, celebration, and life-exactly as this family lives it.
