Kitchen for a Growing Family

This kitchen had plenty of square footage for the family of four living here-but none of it worked. Designed and equipped in the '80s and '90s, the layout felt inefficient and frustrating to our clients, a young professional couple with two school-aged boys.

We rethought the space from the ground up, focusing on how the family lives day-to-day. Circulation paths were improved. Work zones were clarified and storage became smarter. The kitchen was reshaped to connect naturally with the rest of the home, too.

In the finished room, the paned windows across a full exterior wall invite natural light that bounces off the clean, white finishes. The expansive kitchen island is now a natural space for congregation. And with updated storage customized to the family's needs, the kitchen makes everyday moments smoother and eternally joyful.
