Coastal Guest House

Our clients, from the Philadelphia area, love gathering three generations of their family each summer to a small historic seaside village in Maine. With their home situated right along the coast, this client wanted to add a guest retreat that could welcome family and friends without anyone feeling crowded or "tucked away."

But the initial builder blueprints for the new guest house didn't offer the comfort or flow needed for extended stays, and the client also needed help with the interior design details that would truly reflect the beauty of its coastal setting.

We collaborated with the builder and the client on the guest house build and the full design inside. Every decision was rooted in how guests would actually live there: lingering mornings, quiet afternoons, and relaxed evenings after a day by the water.
